Actually Locked is and has consistently provided flawless integrity, authenticity, and a profound grounding experience from consultation to installation to every single retie on my loc journey. To the novice this may appear over the top. To the discerning among us this is my truth. Historically having the women in our community that bring us together by guiding us through the mysterious changes of how our hair evolves with solid, certified backed education for us to learn and removes the myths we have been taught over the years by the latest products to save our edges, nourish our scalp, give us the look we desire with mixed results and often times brittle and malnourished hair, scalp and follicles. I have believed these things off and on over the years and decided to no longer be bamboozled by the shenanigans period. Actually locked has reminded me of home with my mom in her salon and all the edification we all received by merely being present and open to a new way of seeing how to love ourselves and embrace and love our hair in all of her stages by finally nurturing her instead of suffocating her with product and processes that strip her year after year of all of the essential nutrients she need. This relearning process is relentless and worth every bit of the effort it takes to return my crown to health and return to the community of highly educated and discerning leaders in our community. She touches and guides not only our crown she reminds us of our sense of self and reignites the hair and soul community I have been starved for and did not even know that was and what I was missing being so far from home. Rochelle is professional and does amazing work! I appreciate her never overbooking and taking her time with my hair while moving fast. Despite moving off island for almost 3 years now, I still fly back for Rochelle to do my hair. She has snacks, WiFi, great conversations, if you need to work or just want to be quiet and chill that is also not a problem. You can control the tv if you want and get beverages (I learned about kava stress relief tea which I live through her). Her daughter, Eva, even makes holistic healthy hair products along with Rochelle! I promise you will be so thankful you booked her. As long as Rochelle is doing hair, I will be flying to her. I always leave within a decent time, and feeling rejuvenated, calmer, happier, and like a new woman.

Rochelle has been awesome from install in March to my current move off island. She was prepared from the very beginning, educating me on hair types and the sisterlocs process. If you are on island, there’s no other person you should go to for your install or maintenance. I am sad to have to move and find another loctician 😭.
